Shiran Shen ’12

Shiran Shen ’12 won the 2012–13 Carnegie Council Trans-Pacific Student Contest for an essay she co-authored: “The U.S., China, and Cybersecurity: The Ethical Underpinnings of a Controversial Geopolitical Issue.” Shen is a political science doctoral student at Stanford University, after majoring in that discipline at Swarthmore. Sarah Boyer ’96

Sarah Boyer ’96 received tenure in the biology department at Macalester College. She teaches Biodiversity and Evolution, a course in her department’s core sequence, as well as upper-level courses in biogeography, evolution, and biodiversity. Garikai Campbell ’90

Garikai Campbell ’90 was recently named provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Morehouse College, a private, all-male, liberal arts college in Atlanta.
