M. Kelly Tillery ’76

M. Kelly Tillery ’76 was recently voted one of the “Top 100 Lawyers in Philadelphia” by his peers. Tillery is a partner in the Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups of Pepper Hamilton LLP. He is a “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer” and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He is a national authority on intellectual property (IP) litigation—recognized as a notable practitioner in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business—and is known for his work in trademark, patent, copyright and trade secret litigation. He is a frequent lecturer and author on intellectual property and internet law topics. He joined Pepper Hamilton in May 2005 from the firm he co-founded in 1982 and in which he was a senior partner and chair of the intellectual property and e-commerce group. His most recent victories include defeating a $35 million patent infringement claim in a 12-day jury trial and recovering attorneys’ fees for his client Sensormatic.
