Lois Hosbach Love ’43Lois Hosbach Love ’43, a Baltimore psychiatrist known for her compassion and humor, died July 22, 2016, of lung disease. She was 94. Lois worked at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital in the mid-1960s and taught for several years at the Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, now the Medical College of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. After graduating from Swarthmore in 1943 with a bachelor’s degree in biology, she earned a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Pennsylvania. She was married in 1946 to Warner Love ’46, a biophysics professor. Lois interned at the old South Baltimore General Hospital, now Harbor Hospital, and completed a psychiatric residency at Sheppard Pratt. Read more.
